JCY International (JCY) Industry Role: JCY is a significant player in the production of mechanical components for hard disk drives, such as base plates, top covers, and actuator pivot flex assemblies. Market Position: As one of the leading suppliers in the HDD component industry, JCY supplies parts to major HDD manufacturers. Hard Disks and Data Centers Data Storage: Data centers require large amounts of storage to manage the vast volumes of data they handle. This includes data from cloud services, enterprise applications, big data analytics, and more. HDD Usage: Hard disk drives are commonly used in data centers for their high storage capacity and cost-effectiveness, especially for data that is not frequently accessed (cold storage). RAID Configurations: Data centers often use RAID configurations that involve multiple hard disks to ensure data redundancy, reliability, and performance. Impact of Data Center Demand on JCY Increased Demand: The growing need for data storage in data centers drives the demand for HDDs. This, in turn, increases the demand for HDD components manufactured by companies like JCY. Market Growth: As data centers expand and upgrade their storage infrastructure, the market for HDD components is expected to grow, benefiting suppliers like JCY. Technological Advancements: JCY may also benefit from technological advancements in HDD technology, such as higher storage capacities and improved performance, which are crucial for modern data centers. Conclusion JCY International’s role in manufacturing HDD components positions it well to benefit from the growing demand for data storage solutions in data centers. As data centers continue to expand and require more storage capacity, the demand for HDDs and their components is likely to increase, positively impacting companies like JCY.
Patience is needed here. Market not convince with the recent recovery yet, price probably out run the justification of its recent result. Unless there is big fund coming in… JCY doesn’t have that unlike Dufu where big fund is part of their 30 top investors. When Greatec makes its maiden move from Ram0.80 to RM6 I remembered big fund entered. No big fund no big movement.
Data centre sprouting like mushrooms. Kulai by Nvidia with YTLP. Selangor with Sime Darby Property Kuala Lumpur by Mahsing. Upcoming another one by Google maybe in Kuala Lumpur also. Latest one is UEMS (MOU stage.) Which one next? Penang Seberang Perai? How many manpower is required to maintain the DCs upon its completion and how do they benefit the government in term of tax collections?
Just like guarding a factory or warehouse which store goods or equipment
Minimal need only 50 person per one data center enough
What Data Center needs are
Land space Power Water
Land is a must as it is used to Store huge amount of Computers and inside each Computers are HDD or Sdd disk drives
Then lots of energy because Ai will cause Disk to heat up and so lots of electricity is needed
Two types of heating
1. When we access information by searching www. Then it will connect to Data Center to activate HDD in which a particular data (knowledge or figures or numbers) is stored
Heat will be generated and we get our info very fast at the speed of light
Now in Ai (Artificial intelligence ) info is not stored as normal When we ask Ai a question it will trigger 280,000 CPU all at once to compile the best info
As such lots more energy is used up
Like this
When you go to a Restaurant They will heat up ready made pre-cooked food to serve you Little energy is used as it is just warming up
But if they cook for you on the spot then lots more energy will be needed
So is Ai . they cook food , so to say, or compile knowledge on the spot and so lots more Data space and energy will be needed
Ai needs for HDD or Ssd will cause a Superbull run for HDD related stocks
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
